What we're about?
SAQWS is setting the stage for Women’s day on 9 August. Local queens are gathering to take hold of South Africa & Shake. It. Awake.
The queens who are nominated will model in personalized photo shoots that vary as we lead to D-day.
Each location and style is scouted and designed against the background of womxn power and strength through uplifting stories of real womxn, by real womxn.
The models will be interviewed after each photo shoot in order to share their stories of the experience as womxn in South Africa. Interviews will be logged into SAQWS official website in order to create dialogue around these experiences as they come.
This campaign will focus on whatever element of gender inequality comes to light... and therefore the dialogue will remain fluid.
Although we may feel divided, SAQWS aims to unite all womxn, regardless of gender, economic or social background, skin colour & language barriers.
South African Queens will come together to grab the hands of our fellow womxn in celebration of the people who matter, as the historic event during 1950's when 20 000 women walked to the Union Building in Pretoria in protest against the Pass Laws.

I take pretty photo's of beautiful people
I'm trying to find my path & I think, from one womxn (Google it) to another, we should walk our paths united
Otherwise our ladies will continue to suffer abuse, pain & torture
