Monsoon_ Photography

My name is Monique. I am an up-and-coming Photographer, based in Cape Town South Africa.

I call myself an amateur photographer with professional inspirations & bucket-loads of passion for being behind the camera.

​

I am 22 years old, My equipment consists of a limited 55mm amateur lens & a manual focus 300mm lens. They both fit into my Nikon D3100 snugly. I believe in 21st Century, photography has to mean more than an expensive camera which some lonely photographers pass off, as their passion.

I believe being behind the camera gives me an opportunity to connect with my models. Once I reveal the chemistry, open up the connection between model and director, I find my photography starts to sparkle.

I am part photographer & part wordsmith. My images all have meaning, symbolically linked by compositions, angles and a splash of rich color.

My Photography Nome De Plume is Monsoon_Photography. I believe this shows my art as a moment captured in chaos. My favorite genre is candid photography.

 

I am very good at getting the right angles, and I always prefer laughter to break my models' pose - instead of bland, My photography is all you believe it to be, with a sprinkle of interpretation & many hours in post-production (I use Photoshop CS6).
